Paint Forge
Building a Miniature Hobbyist Painting tool with AI
Miniature painters rely on intuition, scattered recipes, and trial and error. I wanted to explore whether a tool could support that creative process and help painters get comfortable with experimentation through the application of data and color science.
Paint Forge uses perceptual color modeling (LAB + ΔE) to make mixing and matching measurable. The goal was confidence—helping painters, especially beginners, move faster while staying in control of their creative decisions.
